Mahadev Satyanarayanan: Satya’s multi-decade research career has focused on the challenges of performance, scalability, availability and trust in information systems that reach from the cloud to the mobile edge of the Internet. In the course of this work, he has pioneered many advances in distributed systems, mobile computing, pervasive computing, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Most recently, his seminal 2009 publication “The Case for VM-based Cloudlets in Mobile Computing” and the ensuing research has led to the emergence of Edge Computing (also known as “Fog Computing”). Satya and Anoop have known each other since 2008. Anoop pursued his Master’s thesis at the Carnegie Mellon’s Information Networking Institute, and worked under Satya’s guidance for three semesters. Satya and his team at the CMU’s School of Computer Science were phenomenal in guiding the research work and seeing the thesis to completion. Past then, we have been in touch regarding various industry-academia partnerships between Carnegie Mellon and Intel Labs and VMware’s Office of the CTO. His expertise in cloud computing is invaluable and much needed for our company.
Adam Paulisick: Adam is the CEO of Skillbuilder.io – deploying inbound AI salespeople within minutes thanks to more than 4 years of applied research anchored out of Carnegie Mellon University. Adam has spent well over 10 years as a Professor of Entrepreneurship (sales, marketing, and digital product design) at the graduate level of Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business, a lead Executive Education Instructor at CMU’s School of Computer Science (#1 in the world), Entrepreneur in Residence at the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, Adjunct in the Masters of Artificial Intelligence program, and Adjunct at CMU’s Human-Computer Interaction Institute (the first HCI graduate program of record). Gopal Hegde: Gopal is the SVP Engineering & Operations at SiMa.ai. He brings more than 30 years of experience in leadership and engineering positions at startups and large public companies, including Cavium (acquired by Marvell), Calxeda, Cisco, Intel, and Acclaim Communications (acquired by Level One/Intel). He is a highly technical, results-oriented leader with a stellar track record in developing world-class products and increasing revenues to $100M+ while incubating new and scaling existing products. Gopal and Anoop have known each other since 2018 and we have conversed in-person during several business and social gatherings. He has seen Pervaziv AI grow from ideation to product development phase and has given us valuable inputs along the way. Website Updates: Finally, did we mention we have a newly designed website? We have worked diligently for the past few weeks and we believe that this new design will take our success to new heights.
