With the addition of Cortex Discover, Cortex is now supported across nine platforms and product surfaces, giving users one well-rounded AI experience across the browsers, editor, computers, and mobile devices where work happens.
The nine Cortex experiences are Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, and Brave through browser extensions; Visual Studio Code; Android; iPhone; and the new Cortex Discover browser itself. A user can research in a familiar browser, continue from a phone, move project-aware work into Visual Studio Code, or use Cortex Discover when the task benefits from a browser designed around agentic AI.
Cortex Discover introduces something different: Pervaziv AI’s own Agentic AI browser. It is a new, dedicated browser, not another extension, that brings Cortex directly into the environment where web work is understood and completed. Its first release supports Windows x64 and macOS on both Apple silicon and Intel, with familiar native installation and a user-friendly experience that lets people start browsing and working with Cortex without managing a separate AI environment. It combines native page awareness, multi-tab reasoning, controlled browser action, visual context, file-aware workflows, durable task continuity, and enterprise safety in one Cortex experience.

Cortex Connect established continuity across Android, iPhone, browser experiences, and Visual Studio Code. In the browser, Cortex already works through extensions for Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, and Brave. A request can begin where the need appears, remain visible as the user moves between work surfaces, and reach the connected development environment where project-aware work belongs.
Model Routing, Search Routing, and Skill Routing strengthened the intelligence behind that experience. Model Routing connects an objective with appropriate Cortex intelligence. Search Routing brings current public information into the workflow. Skill Routing applies relevant engineering practices without asking the user to manage the specialization underneath. With Cortex Discover, the Cortex AI Model Ensemble has expanded from 48 to 50 specialized AI agents, adding browser-focused intelligence to an already coordinated enterprise system.
Cortex Cloud added durable managed execution. Eligible work could continue in a controlled remote environment while remaining connected to the originating user, project, workflow, progress, and result.
Cortex Discover completes another essential part of that path: an Agentic AI browser built by the company for action inside the browser itself.

Why the browser needs to become agentic
Traditional browsers are excellent at displaying applications and information. They are intentionally neutral about the work that connects one page to the next.
Users supply that connective intelligence.
A procurement analyst opens several vendor pages, extracts comparable claims, checks policy requirements, and moves the result into a purchasing system. A customer success manager reviews an account dashboard, reads a support history, checks current documentation, and prepares a follow-up. Cortex Discover is a different product category. It is the company’s own Agentic AI browser, shaped around Cortex from the application level up.
That product boundary is important.
An extension brings valuable AI capabilities into an existing browser. A purpose-built agentic browser creates a deeper product relationship among tabs, navigation, downloads, sign-in state, browser context, and the trusted controls users already understand. The browser remains the source of truth, and Cortex participates directly in that experience.
In Cortex Discover, the browser and the AI experience participate in the same product.
Cortex is present in a native side panel that stays close to the user’s work without covering the page. Page context, selected tabs, task status, attachments, conversation history, and requested actions remain part of one consistent interaction. The user can continue browsing normally while Cortex supports the objective alongside the active content.

Current context without copy and paste
Useful browser AI depends on context, but not all context is equal.
A copied paragraph loses its page title, source, surrounding content, and relationship to the task. A pasted screenshot may preserve appearance but lose structure. A cached summary may describe a page that has already changed. An entire browsing history contains far more than the user intended to share with one request.

Browser automation has traditionally depended on brittle scripts that assume a page remains exactly as it was when the script was written.

Human control at the moments that matter

Visual context when structure alone is not enough
Some browser tasks are primarily textual. Others depend on layout, charts, rendered state, visual hierarchy, or controls whose meaning is clearer on the page than in extracted text.
Cortex Discover can use a bounded view of the visible page when visual context matters.
This gives Cortex another way to understand what the user sees while preserving a controlled relationship to the active task. Visual context remains scoped to the user’s request and the same privacy and safety boundaries as the rest of the Cortex experience.

Visual understanding does not replace structured page context. The two forms of observation complement each other. Structure supports precise interaction and text reasoning. A visible-page view helps with appearance, layout, and rendered outcomes.
This combination allows Cortex Discover to work with modern web applications whose meaning is distributed across text, controls, nested components, and visual state.
Files remain under user direction
Browser work often crosses the boundary between web applications and files.
A support portal may require a diagnostic attachment. A procurement process may need a proposal uploaded. A business application may generate a report for download. A user may ask Cortex to verify whether an export completed before continuing the task.
Cortex Discover supports controlled file-aware workflows without turning browser agency into broad file access.
For uploads, Cortex works only with an attachment the user deliberately included for the current request. The user confirms the transfer before the browser supplies it to the selected page control. The action remains tied to the active workflow and the exact attachment the user chose.
For downloads, Cortex can understand the status and essential metadata of recent browser downloads. It can help determine whether a requested download started, completed, or was marked unsafe without reading the downloaded file or exposing its full location on the user’s device.
This produces a narrow, understandable boundary:
- The user chooses the file made available to the task.
- Cortex does not browse the local filesystem for something that “looks right.”
- Uploads require explicit confirmation.
- Download awareness does not imply access to downloaded contents.
- Safety state remains visible when the browser identifies a risky download.
The result is agentic file handling aligned with user intent, not ambient access to the machine.
Built for interruptions and uncertain outcomes
Browser workflows do not happen under laboratory conditions.
Wi-Fi changes. A laptop sleeps. An application takes longer than expected. A user closes the side panel and returns. A service connection drops after a click but before the final status reaches the conversation.
The most dangerous response to uncertainty is blind repetition.
Repeating a read is usually harmless. Repeating a form submission, message, purchase, or account change may not be. A dependable agentic browser must know the difference between an operation that can be tried again and an action whose outcome is unknown.

The engineering behind an agentic browser is substantial. The user experience should not be.
Cortex Discover keeps Cortex in a compact side panel beside the page. They do not need to select from a catalog of browser operations or translate the task into an automation script.

The first Cortex Discover release is available for Windows x64 and macOS across both major Mac architectures: arm64 for Apple silicon and x64 for Intel-based Macs. On Windows, the native x64 release fits the platform conventions users already know.
That platform support is delivered through a straightforward desktop experience. Users install Cortex Discover as a familiar browser, open the integrated Cortex side panel, and continue with the same Cortex account and interaction model used across extensions, Visual Studio Code, Android, and iPhone. They do not need to assemble a browser, extension, model runtime, and automation framework themselves.
This matters for both users and administrators.
Employees can distinguish the organization’s agentic browser from an ordinary consumer browser with an add-on. Administrators can distribute a defined product with a clear version and artifact identity. Release artifacts are validated as a matched set, accompanied by integrity information, and prepared through platform-appropriate signing and packaging workflows.
For a product trusted with enterprise web activity, provenance is part of the experience. Users should know which browser they are opening.
